Background and Elective Skills for Traveller

As indicated in a previous post, I prefer for Traveller characters in my games to be more widely skilled than the game normally allows. As such, I have instituted a system whereby characters get skills before entering any service (i.e., before the age of eighteen), and a small selection of elective skills not related to their professional service during adulthood.

Home-Brew Rules for 1st edition AD&D

My document of house rules for 1st edition AD&D. I think it combines the nostalgic attraction of "old-school" gaming with some (but not too much) of the better mechanical tech that's been developed in the last thirty years.

A short discussion of how much money the megacorporations in Shadowrun have available for military/security expenditures, in case you've ever wondered whether it was, in fact, plausible for some company to the throwing platoons of heavily-armed troops at your PCs.
